Benjamin M. Klein - President

Benjamin “Ben” Klein is the President of MTS Consulting, LLC.  In addition to Ben’s role with MTS Consulting, LLC, Ben is also a principal of Platinum Healthcare, LLC, a company engaged in the business of managing long-term care facilities throughout the Midwest. Ben is also a member of the board of directors for the Illinois Council of Long Term Care and is involved in lobbying for the long-term care industry on issues relating to state and local government. 

Ben received his Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois.  Ben currently serves as the Chairman of the Young Leadership Board of Keshet, an organization providing educational, recreational and vocational programs for children and young adults with special needs.  He also serves on the boards of many other local schools and charitable organizations.  Ben lives in Englewood, New Jersey with his wife and two daughters.



David S. Porush - CEO & General Counsel

David Porush is the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel of MTS Consulting, LLC.  David is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.  While pursuing his law degree, David began his professional career with the public accounting firm of Price Waterhouse, LLP as an associate in their state and local tax practice.  David was primarily responsible for legislative tracking and analysis as they related to state and local tax issues.  David was the primary contributor to and editor of “Statewatch”, a monthly publication highlighting current legislative action throughout the 50 states and the District of Columbia.  In January of 2000, David transferred to the public accounting firm of KPMG, LLP as a senior tax specialist.  He was primarily involved in sales and use tax planning and negotiating incentives. Such projects included enterprise zone projects, Tax Increment Finance arrangements, property tax abatements and sales tax rebates. 

David received his Juris Doctor degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois.  Currently David is serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NCSY, a national youth outreach organization.  He also serves as the President for the Hebrew Theological College Alumni Association and as Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Hebrew Theological College.  Additionally, David serves on the Executive Board of Arie Crown Day School as well as the boards of many local and national charitable organizations. David lives in Chicago with his wife, two sons and three daughters.



Susan Penway - Managing Director

Susan Penway is Managing Director for MTS Consulting, LLC.  Susan has focused her extensive career on the field of taxation.  She has worked as Director of Tax for several multinational corporations such as Solo Cup, Navistar, McKesson, Sears Roebuck, Office Depot, Unisys, and GATX, and also worked in tax consulting for KPMG.  Her strengths cover many fields of taxation including federal, state income, sales and use, utility, property, and international tax, as well as business incentives and tax credits.  Susan has successfully implemented restructurings related to existing or newly acquired operations, as well as reverse audits in the income and sales and use areas.  She also has successfully negotiated incentive packages for new or expansion operations, and successfully negotiated settlements in over 300 tax controversies.  Susan is strong in tax provision work and Sarbanes Oxley processes.  She has also been successful at reengineering processes in several of the companies she worked for.

Susan is an attorney and CPA, and also secured her Master of Laws in Taxation.  She is licensed to practice in U.S. Tax Court.  Susan lives in Wilmette, Illinois with her husband and son.  In recognition of her leadership abilities, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom appointed Susan to the Board of Directors of the Workforce Investment Board and Private Industry Council of San Francisco where she was instrumental in retraining displaced workers.  Susan is very involved with volunteerism in the community, including food pantries and soup kitchens.



Timothy S. Hanson - Vice President, Business Development

Tim Hanson is in charge of business development for MTS Consulting, LLC.  He also engages in spend management consulting for corporations.  Tim has been advising corporations in the areas of information technology and networks since 1986. Since 1991, Tim has specialized in negotiating large technology contracts on behalf of corporations, including 2 “Fortune 10’ and 8 “Fortune 100” corporations, along with hundreds of public and private companies. Collectively, clients have saved over $500 million in the past ten years alone.

Tim received a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  He serves on the executive board of two non-profit organizations in the Midwest developing youth faith initiatives, as well as employment opportunities for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Tim lives in Hanover, Minnesota with his wife, son and three daughters.



Todd Lindberg - Vice President, Business Development

Todd Lindberg serves in the role of business development for MTS Consulting, L.L.C.  Todd has over 21 years of experience. He is an attorney and contract specialist with over 16 years of sales experience helping companies find solutions to operate more efficiently. He has practiced law, has worked for technology service providers, and has represented numerous clients in negotiations against service providers, all of which have helped lower costs and improve profitability for numerous companies. His contract negotiation experience has had him sitting on the vendor side of negotiations as well as on the client side of negotiations. His focus is not only on cost reduction but also on doing what is best for the client company and its business.
